By creating an account or using ECHO by InnerCoded ("ECHO," "the app," "the service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
You must be at least 17 years of age to use ECHO by InnerCoded. By creating an account, you confirm that you meet this age requirement. We do not knowingly collect data from users under 17. If we become aware that a user is under 17, we will delete their account and associated data.
ECHO by InnerCoded is a private voice journaling application with an AI companion named ECHO. ECHO is not a therapist, counselor, psychologist, or medical professional. ECHO is a reflection tool for personal growth and self-awareness. Nothing in this app constitutes medical advice, mental health treatment, or a clinical relationship.
If you are experiencing a mental health crisis, please contact a licensed professional or call 988 (Suicide and Crisis Lifeline).
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. You may not share your account with others. You may delete your account at any time from the Settings page. Upon deletion, your entries, transcripts, and personal data will be permanently removed from our systems.
ECHO by InnerCoded offers a 14-day free trial followed by paid subscription tiers. Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled. You may cancel at any time through the Settings page or your platform's subscription management (Apple ID → Subscriptions on iOS, Google Play → Subscriptions on Android).
Pricing: ECHO tier ($2.99/month or $24/year), BECOMING tier ($5.99/month or $40/year), Founder Lifetime ($99 one-time). All prices in USD.
Your journal entries, voice recordings, and transcripts belong to you. We do not claim ownership of your content. You grant us a limited license to process your content solely for the purpose of providing the service (transcription, AI reflection, storage, display to you).
Your content is never used to train AI models. Your content is never shared with third parties for advertising or marketing purposes.
ECHO by InnerCoded uses OpenAI (Whisper) for audio transcription and Anthropic (Claude) for AI reflection generation. By using the service, you acknowledge that your voice recordings and transcripts are processed by these third-party services in real-time. Neither OpenAI nor Anthropic stores your data after processing.
You may not use ECHO to: violate any applicable law; attempt to reverse-engineer or extract the service's source code; use the service for commercial resale; impersonate another person; or attempt to access other users' accounts or data.
ECHO by InnerCoded is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. InnerCoded Enterprises shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service. Our total liability to you shall not exceed the amount you paid in the 12 months preceding any claim.
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email or in-app notice. Continued use of the service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
